Longer than The Way of Kings, but every page is worth it. The story picks up right where the first book left off, but this one focuses more on Shallan, and it was amazing to see her perspective in depth. The plot starts to make more sense here, and we meet a lot of new characters who add so much to the world and story.
This is the point where the characters really start to develop into their own arcs. You see them grow, make mistakes, and start taking control of their own stories. The multiple POVs continue to work really well, giving insight into the world and the stakes from different angles.
If you loved The Way of Kings, this one ramps everything up - more twists, more emotional moments, and even deeper world building. By the end, you’re fully invested in all the characters and their journeys.
